Marketplace Role

othershop provides a platform for local Ugandan merchants to showcase products.

Important: We are a directory, not a retailer. All transactions, payments, and deliveries are handled directly between you and the independent seller via WhatsApp.

othershop acts as a bridge. We do not inspect, hold, or guarantee the quality of items. Each shop owner is an independent legal entity responsible for their own inventory, pricing accuracy, and business conduct in Kampala.

Buyer Responsibility

Clicking a "Buy" button initiates a WhatsApp chat. You agree to use the seller's contact information only for legitimate business inquiries. othershop does not monitor these chats and is not a party to any agreement made within WhatsApp.

Delivery Logistics

Sellers coordinate their own riders (Boda-bodas). othershop is not liable for transport delays, damage during transit, or non-delivery of items.

Seller Obligations

Sellers agree to maintain accurate product listings, respond to genuine buyer inquiries, and fulfill orders responsibly. Misrepresentation of products, pricing, or availability is strictly prohibited.

Payments & Fees

othershop charges a flat subscription fee for premium features. We do not take a commission on sales. All payments for goods are made directly between buyer and seller. Refunds and disputes are resolved directly between parties.

Community-Based Commerce

othershop operates strictly as a discovery and communication platform. Transactions are private agreements between buyers and sellers. By using this platform, you acknowledge that othershop is not a party to any buyer-seller agreement.
